I did not start Sounder Solutions because the world needed another hog trap or hunting company. I started it because farmers, ranchers, and working landowners were being forced to absorb the cost of a problem they did not create and could not afford to ignore.

My background is in quality assurance and process improvement for the Department of the Army — fifteen years of traceability, standards development, failure prevention, and ensuring that complex systems perform as intended. I am a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and certified ISO auditor. That work changes how you look at problems. When the same failure keeps occurring, you do not blame bad luck and repeat the same process. You identify the failure mode, establish the standard, control the variables, verify the result, and improve the system.

I also serve as Vice President of the Bowie County Dive Team, a nonprofit public-safety organization supporting law enforcement and fire agencies in underwater search and recovery. That experience reinforced a leadership philosophy built around preparation, equipment reliability, clear procedures, and accountability under difficult conditions.

The deeper I went into the feral hog problem, the clearer the real failure became. Landowners did not merely need a better tool. They needed a better operating system. Manual traps require constant attention. Remote triggers still depend on someone being awake at the right moment. Partial captures educate the hogs that remain. Weak documentation makes it impossible to prove results or coordinate with neighbors.

That insight became the foundation of Sounder Solutions: a complete management system centered on disciplined execution, autonomous technology, credible documentation, and landowner access. The FAF™ trigger — holding the gate open until the entire sounder is inside before firing — is the piece that addresses the primary failure mode of conventional trapping. That is the patent we are protecting.
